The Committee delegation comprised Committee members Meho Omerovic, Igor Becic, Dragan Sutanovac, Nenad Milic, Nenad Popovic and Committee deputy member Miroljub Stojcic.
In the course of the supervisory visit, using the random sample method, the Committee members surveyed the legality of the implementation of special procedures and measures in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code, in four cases processed in the period between 2005 and 2013. The Committee members were allowed direct insight into the documents related to all four cases and ascertained that, in the surveyed instances, the Security Information Agency acted in accordance with the stipulated procedure. At the same time, it was noted that the Security Information Agency implements the Ombudsman’s recommendations outlined in the Report on the 2010 Preliminary Control of the Agency’s work.
In the course of the supervisory visit, in one randomly selected case, the Committee members surveyed the compliance to procedure as regards the use of Security Information Agency special operative purpose funds and ascertained that the Security Information Agency follows the stipulated procedure.
The Committee members also learned about the work of the Recruitment Commission and attended a job interview.
The Committee will be paying a supervisory visit to the Military Intelligence Agency thus rounding up the cycle of supervisions conducted at the security services’ headquarters.
