Second Sitting of the Security Services Control Committee

At its second sitting, held on 2 December, the Security Services Control Committee considered and unanimously adopted the Proposal of the Decision on the manner of holding a Security Services Control Committee sitting handling classified information.


The Committee determined that a sitting at which classified information is discussed would be closed to the public, and also defined the prerequisites for attending such a sitting.

The Committee members also adopted the Proposal of the Decision on direct supervision over the work of the security services, which specifies the procedures and the Committee’s actions in the direct supervision of the security services. Committee Chairman MA Igor Becic said that that both adopted decisions are examples of good practice of the Committee in the former legislature.

The Committee went on to adopt the Conclusion to submit a request to the Secretary General that all of the Committee’s sittings be audio-recorded, that the audio recordings be processed and as such be attached to the minutes as an integral part.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Igor Becic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Ilija Zivotic, Vladan Zagradjanin, Goran Pekarski, Borisav Kovacevic, Jelena Mijatovic, Dusko Tarbuk and Aleksandar Markovic.
