Second Sitting of the Committee on the Rights of the Child


At the sitting held on 25 August 2023, the Committee on the Rights of the Child considered the Ministry of Family Care and Demography Activity Information for the period 27 October – 31 December 2022 and the Ministry of Family Care and Demography Activity Information for the period January – March 2023.

The sitting began with a minute’s silence for the employee of the Support Service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia killed in yesterday’s accident.

The Committee members accepted, by majority vote, the proposal of Committee Chairman Dr Vladimir Orlic to complete a joint debate in principle on the two first items on the agenda.

The Ministry of Family Care and Demography activity information was presented by Minister Prod. Dr Darija Kisic.

Following the debate, the Committee members adopted, by majority vote, reports accepting the Ministry of Family Care and Demography activity information.

The Committee members then proceeded to unanimously adopt the Decision to set up a Working group for initiatives, petitions and proposals, comprising Slavica Radovanovic as Chair and as members: Milica Nikolic, Andrijana Avramov, Vesna Nedovic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Zagorka Aleksic, Prof.Dr Jelena Jerinic and Milinka Nikolic.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Vladimir Orlic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Sandra Bozic, Elvira Kovacs, Dr Zoran Lutovac, Snezana Paunovic, Milica Nikolic, Andrijana Avramov, Vesna Nedovic, Andrijana Vasic, Prof.Dr Zoran Radojicic, Sanja Calovic, Marija Lukic, Vesna Savovic Petkovic, Slavica Radovanovic, Dr Dragana Rakic, Zagorka Aleksic, Milinka Nikolic, Branimir Jovanovic, Bosko Obradovic, Zsombor Ujvari, Prof.Dr Jelena Jerinic, Zaim Redzepovic, Sanja Lakic, Prim.Dr Nada Macura, Gorica Gajic, Marina Lipovac Tanaskovic and Haji Milorad Stosic.
