SPEAKER OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY RECEIVES THE SWEDISH AMBASSADOR

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Oliver Dulic, received today the Swedish Ambassador Nils Krister Bringeues with whom he talked about the current political situation in Serbia.



The Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr Oliver Dulic, received today the Swedish Ambassador Nils Krister Bringeues with whom he talked about the current political situation in Serbia.

Speaker Dulic informed the guest of the National Assembly activities, the negotiations process on the future status of Kosovo and the organisation of presidential and local elections. He said that an agreement is to be reached on the order of moves to be taken pertaining to the upcoming elections and that all the options are on the table, but that the most important thing is not to have Serbia fall into a constitutional and legal crisis and to ensure its stability as soon as possible.

The Swedish Ambassador and the Speaker of the National Assembly agreed that an intensification of parliamentary cooperation is need for furthering the overall relations of the two countries adding that the formation of a Scandinavian friendship group at the National Assembly will considerably aid the process.
