Russian State Duma Speaker Visits Serbia, to Meet with National Assembly Speaker

A delegation of the Russian State Duma headed by the Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin will be visiting Serbia on 5 June to attend the Second session of the Russian State Duma - National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Cooperation Commission.


The speakers of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the Russian State Duma will have a bilateral meeting, after which they will open and chair the Second session of the Cooperation Commission, which is a continuation of the cooperation and dialogue between the two parliaments launched by the establishment of the Commission in Moscow, in December 2015.

The topics of the session are parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, parliamentarians’ contribution to issues of regional stability and security in bilateral and multilateral forums, Kosovo-Metohija and the role of the international community in supporting dialogue, parliamentary support to economic, trade and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

The two parliament speakers will also lay wreaths at the monument of the Liberators of Belgrade and visit St. Sava Temple in Belgrade.
