Yesterday, on 17 January 2011, in Prokuplje, the Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals Sasa Dujovic met with the representatives of the workers of ZRJ URVIS DOO Prokuplje. The reason for the meeting was the workers’ petition against the management and the fact that they were owed fourteen salaries. The petition was originally sent to the National Assembly Speaker and then forwarded to the Committee on Petitions and Proposals. The meeting was attended by Prokuplje Municipal President Milan Arsovic and Milutin Radonjic, Municipal Council member, yet no representatives of the ZRJ URVIS DOO management were in attendance even though they had been duly notified. The meeting was concluded by the decision to take the steps necessary to find possible solutions to the problem.
