The Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals Sasa Dujovic received the representatives of the tenants of 7 Marka Celebonovica Street who addressed the Committee in a petition protesting against the demands of the Military Construction Directorate of the Ministry of Defense (VGD-MO) and Tax Administration - branch N. Belgrade and Zemun to pay taxes for the transfer of absolute rights to the flats they had returned to the VGD-MO housing fund. The Chairman concluded that the Committee would be able to take the necessary steps to resolve the issue, in line with its competencies, only after it had received the full documentation.

Committee Chairman Sasa Dujovic also received the representatives of the Local community of Nakovo and Association of Nakovo natives regarding the proposal pointing out the illegal sale of the remaining property of Agricultural Cooperative “Marko Oreskovic” Nakovo, currently under bankruptcy. They stressed that the village of Nakovo, boasting 700 households, lives exclusively on agriculture and that the sale of cooperative assets at such low prices would force the young people to leave the village which is contrary to the strategy plan of keeping the youth in rural communities. Even though they had already approached certain state authorities, the auction of the cooperative assets is set for 21 February, so the representatives of the local community asked the Privatisation Agency to halt the sale of the remaining cooperative assets.

The Committee Chairman promised to visit Nakovo and propose that appropriate measures be undertaken so as to resolve issue.

The Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals Sasa Dujovic also received Colonel Sladjan Ristic regarding the proposal made by the Serbian Association of Homeless Servicemen. The meeting was aimed at finding possible solutions to the problem of homeless servicemen.
