Petitions and Proposals Committee Chairman Holds Several Meetings

The Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Sasa Dujovic received the Vice President of the Association of Refugees and Exiled Persons Toma Kupresakovic today.

The Chairman of the Committee on Petitions and Proposals of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Sasa Dujovic received the Vice President of the Association of Refugees and Exiled Persons Toma Kupresakovic today. The meeting was arranged to address the petition of a refugee family of nine, the Guslovs from Sremska Mitrovica, who cannot gain access to the funds sent through the Divac Foundation. Since neither the petition nor the meeting with their representative Kupresakovic provided the data on the key elements of the case which would establish the grounds to take a stand on the issue, it was agreed that they should meet again once all documentation is collated since the family had in the meantime been granted citizenship of the Republic of Serbia.

Committee Chairman Sasa Dujovic also received the representatives of the Association of 1000 damaged parties regarding the petition the damaged flat buyers had sent to the National Assembly Speaker. The representatives of the association pointed out that due to undefined relations between Stankom A.D. and Delta Legal D.O.O. the flat buyers have been unable to move into their homes for seven years now. They stressed that the case is already before the Appellate Court, and Delta Legal is facing bankruptcy which makes it imperative to speed up the ruling on the case.

Committee Chairman Sasa Dujovic concluded that the Committee would take the appropriate steps, within its power and competence, to resolve the issue brought before it by the Association of 1000 damaged parties.
