Parliamentary Friendship Group With Tunisia Meets Tunisian Ambassador

Today at the National Assembly House, the members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Tunisia, headed by their President Esad Dzuzevic, talked to the Tunisian Ambassador to Serbia, HouriaFerchichi, about bilateral cooperation.



Today at the National Assembly House, the members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Tunisia, headed by their President Esad Dzuzevic, talked to the Tunisian Ambassador to Serbia, HouriaFerchichi, about bilateral cooperation.

In the meeting, the relations between the two countries were said to be characterised by traditional closeness and friendship, and that both sides are interested in broadening and strengthening overall cooperation. In addition to furthering political dialogue, the officials highlighted the importance of strengthening economic cooperation which shows great potential.

They also pointed out the potential for cooperation in agriculture, tourism, pharmacy and other spheres, adding that signing interstate treaties would stimulate economic cooperation.

The officials stressed that improving parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Tunisia, with the active support of their respective governments and ministries, would prompt the strengthening of all other forms of cooperation.

Ambassador Ferchichi stressed that she strongly promotes the achievement of human rights and gender equality and proposed that the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia and the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia organise a roundtable on the improvement of the position of women.
