On Sunday, 23 July, after a ceremonial hoisting of Serbia’s state flags, more than 2000 members of the public visited the building of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia on Nikola Pasic Square. The visitors had the chance to tour a part of the Assembly building and to see, for the first time, the Serbian coats-of-arms mounted in the Assembly halls.

The Assembly Chairman and the Assembly Support Service wish to thank all members of the public who showed interest in the Open Door Day visitor programme, thus proving that the National Assembly, as a ‘house of all citizens’, should continue as well as broaden the scope of the Open Door Day visitor programme, implemented with OSCE support.

By the end of August, the National Assembly will inform the public about future Open Door Day dates and how to apply for them, as well as the broadened Open Door Day visitor programme, to include, In the future, visits to both National Assembly Buildings. The programme is also to involve informing visitors about the history of the National Assembly and its functions, as well as guided tours of the two listed Assembly Buildings.
