One hundredth anniversary of the death of Janko Veselinovic marked

Today saw the marking of the 100th anniversary of the death of Janko Veselinovic, in Salas Crnobarski, near Glogovac.

Today saw the marking of the 100th anniversary of the death of Janko Veselinovic, in Salas Crnobarski, near Glogovac. The events were organised by the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Government of the Republicof Serbia, and the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Sabac and Valjevo; a formal evening dedicated to the life and work of the great author was held, while an exhibition of works by Branislav Stankovic was also unveiled. At the invitation of Bishop Lavrentije, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republicof Serbia, Predrag Markovic, as member of the Board of Honour, attended the formal event and the unveiling of the exhibition, afterwards visiting the newly-erected church in Salas Crnobarski and the grave of Janko Veselinovic in Glogovac.
