The representative of the submitter, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Nikola Corsovic stressed that the Bill introduces increased legal certainty in tax regulations thus enabling the suppression of the so-called grey economy. Corsovic added that the Bill also sets up the legal framework for further IT modernisation of the services available to the tax payers and the operation of the Tax Administration.
After the debate, the Committee accepted the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Tax Procedure and Tax Administration, in principle.
The Committee members went on to discuss and accept the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement amending and modifying the Financial Agreement (Upgrading of Judiciary Buildings) between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to Taxes on Income and Property, submitted by the Government.
