National Assembly and Slovenian Foreign Affairs Committees Chairmen Meet

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Dragoljub Micunovic met today at the National Assembly House with the Slovenian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ivo Vajgl. In the talk, they exchanged information on the current situation in Serbia and Slovenia and expressed an interest to further overall relations between the two countries.



The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Dragoljub Micunovic met today at the National Assembly House with the Slovenian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ivo Vajgl.

In the talk, they exchanged information on the current situation in Serbia and Slovenia and expressed an interest to further overall relations between the two countries.

Chairman Vajgl said that the new Slovenian Government favours cooperation with countries in the region more, particularly Serbia, as an important foreign trade partner. He stressed that negotiations on the conclusion of the Social Insurance Agreement between the two countries will be sped up, and that the Slovenian Constitutional Court Decision concerning the status of minorities and “erased persons” will start being implemented and that these persons will receive documents and be compensated.

The Foreign Affairs Committees Chairmen estimated that parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Slovenia should be improved, which should open channels for cooperation in other areas.
