National Assembly Standing Delegation to PABSEC at Spring Session in Moldova

The National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) will be taking part in the organisation’s 45th General Assembly in Chisinau, Moldova, 8-10 June 2015.


The PABSEC spring session with the topic “Parliamentary contributions to the implementation of the BSEC economic agenda 2012 – state of play and future prospects” is hosted by the Moldovan Parliament.

The National Assembly’s delegation to the 45th PABSEC General Assembly is headed by National Assembly Deputy Speaker Igor Becic, and comprises delegation members Zoltan Pek, Miletic Mihajlovic and Bojan Kostres.

The General Assembly will deliberate on the proposal of the declaration on strengthening the status of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, and the reports of the three standing committees: draft report on “Basic principles of election legislation and the BSEC member states: similarities and differences” of the Legal and Political Affairs Committee, draft report on “Role of sport in promoting growth, employment and social cohesion in the BCES region” of the Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee and the draft report on “Role of new technologies in the development and strengthening of information society in the BCES member states” of the Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee.

National Assembly delegation member Zoltan Pek will present the draft report on “Role of new technologies in the development and strengthening of information society in the BCES member states”, as rapporteur for the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee.

The General Assembly will also be electing PABSEC vice-presidents and PABSEC Vice-President for Financial Matters, as well as PABSEC Deputy Secretary General in charge of Interparliamentary Relations and Protocol.
