National Assembly Standing Delegation to PABSEC at 44th PABSEC Plenary Session
The standing delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), took part in the 44th PABSEC Plenary Session, 8 – 10 December 2014, in Athens.
Besides Serbia, the 44th Plenary Session was also attended by the standing parliamentary delegations of the Russian Federation, Greece, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Turkey, Georgia and Romania, as well as a great many observers and guests from international organisations.
The topic of the 44th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was “BSEC Region as an Integral Part of the Global Cooperation”. At the 44th Plenary Session, PABSEC also elected a new Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation – Azerbaijani MP Haji Asaf Hajiyev, who won 47 of the possible 57 votes of the parliamentarians present. In the course of the Plenary Session, PABSEC adopted the Reports and Recommendations discussed at the PABSEC Standing Committee and the 2015 Action Plan according to which the National Assembly is to host the 44th Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee in Belgrade, 16 – 17 March 2015.
