National Assembly Speaker talks to Republic of Srpska National Assembly Speaker

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia , Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska , Igor Radojcic.



The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia , Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska , Igor Radojcic.

At the meeting, the two parliament speakers discussed interparliamentary cooperation the further development of which is based on the implementation of the Agreement on mutual cooperation between the two parliaments, signed in Banja Luka in January 2008. Both parliament speakers stressed that the Agreement was a big step in deepening the cooperation not only on the level of speakers, but on the level of assembly working bodies and support services as well.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska , Igor Radojcic conveyed the congratulations of the deputies of the Republic of Srpska Parliament on the deblocking of the implementation of the Transitional Trade Agreement and visa liberalisation for Serbian citizens which is to come into force on 19 December.

“The Republic of Srpska is always listening for Belgrade’s voice and expects its assistance in the implementation of the Dayton Agreement”, the Republic of Srpska Parliament Speaker said.

At the meeting, Assembly Speaker Radojcic extended an invitation to Serbian Parliament Speaker Djukic-Dejanovic to visit the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska in the first half of next year and make the traditional address to the deputies of the Republic of Srpska.
