National Assembly Speaker and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade: Hungary Strongly Supports Serbia’s Euro-Integration
National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic met today with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó who said that Hungary strongly supports Serbia’s Euro-integration.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister said that the Union needs the enthusiasm new members, such as Serbia and the Western Balkan states, can bring it.
Gojkovic thanked Hungary for the support stressing that Serbia is committed to Euro-integration and the ongoing reforms.
Gojkovic and Szijjártó agreed that the ties between Serbia and Hungary are currently at an all-time high, both at the symbolic and practical level, especially in view of the strong development of economic relations and heightened volume of trade exchange.
Szijjártó also emphasised the importance of cooperation on joint energy and infrastructural projects adding that the upcoming summit of China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe countries in Belgrade in mid-December would be the opportunity to concretise and realise said projects.
