National Assembly Speaker Visits University in Kosovska Mitrovica

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic visited today the University in Pristina with temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica.



The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic visited today the University in Pristina with temporary seat in Kosovska Mitrovica. It is a Serbian state university, founded in 1970 by a National Assembly decision.

At the University Rectorate, Assembly Speaker Djukic-Dejanovic met the University management and was briefed on their work. She then attended the ceremonial session of the University Council where the new Council Chairman, Prof. Dr Jagos Zelenovic, was appointed. On the occasion, he stated that the visit of the National Assembly Speaker is proof of continuity of the state policy towards the University which managed to continue work in a new environment, despite great difficulties.

Assembly Speaker Djukic-Dejanovic stated that the state authorities’ and National Assembly’s state and national policy is to counteract the injustice done to the students, who are the future of Serbia, by providing them with knowledge.

The National Assembly Speaker held a lecture on “The Importance of Psychology and Psychopathology in Human Functioning” for the students of the Medical Faculty.
