The National Assembly Speaker expressed pleasure at the traditional friendship between the two countries. Djukic-Dejanovic thanked the Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker for his country’s principled support of Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. The National Assembly Speaker said that it would be extremely significant for Serbia if Kuwait were to endorse its initiative to conduct an investigation based on Dick Marty’s report and under the patronage of the UN to establish the facts relating to the trafficking in organs of Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija.

Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic was grateful for the readiness of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development to invest 26 million euros into the reconstruction of Serbian railroads.

Both noted the very high level of political relations adding that parliamentary cooperation should be developed in that direction. They agreed that an exchange of visits between the bodies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Kuwaiti parliament should be instigated as soon as possible so that parliamentary cooperation might help improve bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker handed the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic an official written invitation to visit Kuwait, which she was pleased to accept.
