National Assembly Speaker Talks to Hungarian Parliament Speaker

On 29 October, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic met the Hungarian Parliament Speaker, Dr Katalin Sili, in Novi Sad.



On 29 October, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic met the Hungarian Parliament Speaker, Dr Katalin Sili, in Novi Sad. The host of the meeting was the AP Vojvodina Assembly Speaker, Sandor Egresi.

Their exceptionally meaningful and friendly talk touched on many issues of the current, as well as future cooperation of the two parliaments. The process of Serbia’s accession to the European Union was put into special focus. Concerning it, the Hungarian side expressed its willingness and wish to help, as an EU member, promote the process in all necessary aspects. On the occasion, the Hungarian side offered its version of the text of the agreement on future cooperation of the two parliaments and it was mutually noted that Vojvodina might become the generator of future cooperation between Serbia and Hungary.

The Hungarian Parliament Speaker invited National Assembly Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic to visit Hungary on 18 and 19 November, to continue the talks on the cooperation of the two parliaments.
