NARS Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic greeted the ambassadors of the Arab-African group and wished them a pleasant stay in Serbia, proposing the initiative that this be the first annual meeting between representatives of the Serbian Parliament and the ambassadors of this group, which was accepted with pleasure.
In an open and friendly talk, Speaker Stefanovic spoke of interparliamentary cooperation issues which, he deemed, should become more comprehensive in the upcoming period, with economic issues, as well as the improvement of investment conditions and, in particular, the appearance of Serbian companies on the traditionally open markets of Arab and African countries, also being among the topics of conversation.
Each of the ambassadors of the Arab-African group shared their expectations for future cooperation not only related to parliaments, but also to overall relations with Serbia. Besides noting that Serbia and these countries share a long tradition of friendship and cooperation, all the ambassadors mentioned that it could be both better and more successful. They all agreed that more frequent contacts and the establishment of traditional annual meetings at this level would held develop relations, and that the stimulation of economic cooperation between Serbia and Arab-African countries should start straightaway, so they agreed on specific steps at this, the very first meeting.
The host, NARS Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic took the opportunity to brief his, he said, dear guests, on Serbia’s tourism potential using the example of Vrnjacka Banja, one of the most important tourist destinations in Serbia, deeming that further development of tourism in Serbia, and especially in Vrnjacka Banja, would be a significant contribution to Serbian economy.
