National Assembly Speaker Receives Voluntary Organ Donor Card
Today, at the Military Medical Academy Organ Transplant Centre in Belgrade, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, signed the registration form and received a donor card, becoming a voluntary organ donor. On the occasion, the Speaker stated that as a doctor she is well aware of the importance and significance of organ transplantation as a means of prolonging human life.

On the occasion, the Speaker stated that as a doctor she is well aware of the importance and significance of organ transplantation as a means of prolonging human life. She stated that she is honoured to be donating her organs today and urged Serbian citizens who share her views to join the action. The Speaker added that one donor can donate as many as 12 organs and save numerous lives.
