National Assembly Speaker Receives Velika Plana Grammar School Student Parliament Delegation
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received a delegation of the Velika Plana Grammar School Student Parliament.

Greeting the young parliamentarians, Djukic-Dejanovic said that this yet again confirms that the doors of the National Assembly House are open to all citizens and that there is no such thing as closed doors or questions especially for young people.
“I am particularly glad that your student parliament meets twice a month and that you have representatives at the school board who can vote on some issues. These are the first steps of parliamentarism that you are learning in your best years”, said the NARS Speaker.
Addressing her fellow parliamentarians Djukic-Dejanovic highlighted how important it is that the student parliament cultivates dialogue as the highest form of confrontation of opinions. “When we sit in the parliament benches it is important to be ready to listen even to those who do not speak or think like us.”
The thirty-six students of the Velika Plana Grammar School Student Parliament were taken on a tour of the National Assembly House. From the gallery of the Great Plenary Hall they had the opportunity to view the sitting and be greeted by the NARS deputies.
The visit of the Velika Plana Grammar School Student Parliament to the National Assembly was organised at the proposal of deputy Dragan Pisarevic from Velika Plana.
