National Assembly Speaker Receives New Korean Ambassador to Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the new Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Serbia Lee Jaewoong.

The National Assembly Speaker welcomed the new Ambassador wishing him a successful mandate and stressing that Serbia considers the Republic of Korea a very important partner, one with which it wishes to work on ever stronger relations. He reminded the guest that the bilateral relations between Serbia and the Republic of Korea have made considerable progress in the last few years, both in the economic sphere and elsewhere.

Ambassador Lee Jaewoong agreed that the bilateral relations are excellent and that there is ample room to further improve them. He stressed that, during his mandate, he would do his best to promote Serbia with Korean companies as an attractive destination for investment. He also expressed satisfaction with Serbia’s growing interest in Korean culture and language.

The officials agreed that the previously discussed high-level visits could contribute to the strengthening of bilateral relations, which should be realized after the elections.
