With this in mind, Ambassador Clare Birgin reminded the National Assembly Speaker of the invitation to visit Australia as head of an Assembly delegation.

Assembly Speaker Djukic-Dejanovic accepted the invitation with pleasure, adding that the National Assembly is interested in furthering parliamentary and all other forms of cooperation with Australia which is why a Friendship group with this country has been created.

At Ambassador Birgin’s question when the Bill on the Prohibition of Discrimination will be debated, the National Assembly Speaker stated that its adoption is expected before the end of April. She emphasized the Bill’s importance for the liberalization of the visa regime for Serbian citizens.
