The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received today H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia to Serbia, Igor Furdik.

Ambassador Furdik conveyed the Republic of Slovakia Parliament Speaker’s invitation to the National Assembly Speaker to visit the Republic of Slovakia as the head of an Assembly delegation.

Speaker Djukic-Dejanovic expressed her gratitude for the invitation, stressing that the goal of the visit would be furthering relations between the two parliaments through a more intensive cooperation of the Assembly committees, friendship groups, as well as through the improvement of economic cooperation between Slovakia and Serbia.

The National Assembly Speaker emphasised that Serbia greatly values the principled position of the Republic of Slovakia, as European Union member, concerning abiding by international law and supporting the Republic of Serbia keeping Kosovo-Metohija within its borders.
