National Assembly Speaker Opens Exhibition “July 1914 – in Documents”

The National Assembly House is hosting an exhibition in its Central Hall, organised by the National Assembly and the Archive of Serbia, titled “July 1914 – in documents”, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1.

The exhibition was opened by National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic and the Director of the Archive of Serbia Miroslav Perisic, at 12.30 pm, the time when 100 years prior Serbian Prime Minister Nikola Pasic received the telegram declaring war on Serbia.
The exhibition displays the documents currently in possession of the Archive of Serbia, the declaration of war among them, as well as the shorthand notes of the National Assembly’s extraordinary session in Nis, 27 – 31 July 2014, kept at the National Assembly’s library.
