National Assembly Speaker Meets with the Norwegian Foreign Ministry Special Representative
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabic met with the Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway for the Western Balkans, Eirik Nestas Mathisen.
In an open and constructive conversation, the officials discussed the current political situation in the region, bilateral relations between Serbia and Norway, as well as Serbia's European integration.
Brnabic emphasized that the question of Kosovo-Metohija is an important national issue for Serbia, and that Belgrade remains consistently committed to dialogue with the mediation of the European Union.
Special emphasis in the conversation was placed on the importance of preserving peace and stability in the Western Balkans, with the National Assembly Speaker stressing that Serbia remains committed to regional cooperation and economic integration.
She once again stressed that full membership in the European Union is Serbia's strategic commitment, and that she particularly appreciates Norway's willingness to contribute its experience and expertise to the improvement of the European integration process.
The officials opined that parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Norway has a good foundation, with the need to further improve it in the coming period.
