National Assembly Speaker Meets with World Bank Vice-President for Europe and Central Asia
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, met with the World Bank Vice-President for the Europe and Central Asia, Antonella Bassani.
The officials discussed furthering cooperation, especially in terms of green transition, local development and institutional reforms, which remain among Serbia's key priorities.
Brnabic expressed gratitude for the World Bank's continued support, which will speed up the launch of joint projects. They highlighted the growth of the ICT sector, as well as the importance of focusing World Bank support on local environmental and energy projects.
National Assembly Speaker Brnabic particularly emphasized the need for further investments in labour market policy and the modernization of education, as the labour force issue is one of the key challenges for the future development of Serbia.
