National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic Receives Iranian Ambassador to Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Serbia Rashid Hassan Pour Baei.

National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic expressed satisfaction with the good bilateral relations between Serbia and Iran and readiness to work on strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. He confirmed that, as the Serbian President’s envoy, he would attend the inauguration of the newly-elected President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Sayyid Ebrahim Raisi Sadati.

The Iranian Ambassador agreed that the relations between the two countries are good, especially emphasising the progress achieved in terms of strengthening economic cooperation.

The officials then spoke about the health situation and measures employed to combat the pandemic. They also agreed that there is ample room to advance cooperation, especially in the fields of the economy and agriculture.
