The officials agreed that bilateral relations are at a very high level and that the activities on their improvement should be continued. National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic said he was ready to continue to work on strengthening friendly relations between Serbia and France in his new position, primarily through the intensification of cooperation between the two parliaments. He informed the guest that a Parliamentary Friendship Group with France had been formed in the National Assembly and expressed hope that the planned parliamentary visits and activities postponed due to the pandemic would be realized during the next year.

At the Ambassador’s interest, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic presented the National Assembly’s priorities and informed him about its activities and plans for the coming year. He informed his guest that, by the end of the year, the National Assembly would have a session to consider the European Commission's 2020 Progress Report on the Republic of Serbia. He also informed him about the plans for the continuation of the inter-party dialogue.

The officials proceeded to discuss the possibilities for improving parliamentary cooperation, as well as cooperation within the organization of Le Francophonie. They agreed that an exchange of visits of the speakers of parliament would contribute to the strengthening of the parliamentary cooperation, and overall bilateral relations with it. Ambassador Falconi expressed hope that the visit of the President of the French Senate which was planned for this year, would be realized next year, after the stabilization of health conditions.
