National Assembly Speaker Congratulates Roma Ethnic Community on International Roma Day

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, extended congratulations to the President of the National Council of the Roma Ethnic Community in Serbia, Vitomir Mihajlovic on 8 April, International Roma Day, expressing the following sentiments.



The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, extended congratulations to the President of the National Council of the Roma Ethnic Community in Serbia, Vitomir Mihajlovic on 8 April, International Roma Day, expressing the following sentiments.

“On the behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, it is my greatest pleasure to congratulate you and the whole Roma ethnic community of the Republic of Serbia on 8 April, International Roma Day.

International Roma Day was instituted, among other things, to draw attention to the difficult position of the Roma people and prompt the countries where they live to actively protect their human rights.

I wish all the members of the Roma ethnic community spend this day in good health and good cheer.”
