National Assembly Speaker Congratulates New Year

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic congratulates New 2019:

“On behalf of the National Assembly and myself, I wish a very happy New Year to all the citizens of Serbia.

The year behind us was successful because with hard work and enormous efforts we managed to overcome numerous difficulties and secure the stability, economic growth and development of our state, as evidenced by the adoption of the development budget for 2019.

I believe we can enter the new year with optimism, aware of the significance of continued work on all issues of importance for our citizens and the future challenges in the complex political and economic situation in the region, Europe and the world. That is why the key tasks for Serbia in 2019 are keeping peace and stability in the region and securing economic progress. We have to invest all of our efforts and knowledge to achieve the vision of the future we want and hope for in the new year.

To all the citizens of the Republic of Serbia I wish a happy 2019, filled with good health, joy and success and that they spend the coming holidays with their nearest and dearest. Happy New Year!”
