National Assembly Deputy Speaker Snezana Paunovic spoke today at the celebration of the Girls in ICT Day, welcoming the attending on behalf of National Assembly Speaker Dr Vladimir Orlic and on her own behalf.
Paunovic praised the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, primarily Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, who had identified the application of digitisation in all spheres as one of the primary tasks.
The National Assembly Deputy Speaker stated that girls today have the opportunity to chart their own path, set goals for themselves and achieve them, because stereotypes have been overcome and equality has been achieved.
She expressed hope that this ceremony will become a tradition in the National Assembly and invited the participants of the meeting to present their innovative ideas to the MPs, who are willing to listen to them and present them to the representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which should in turn implement them.
The Girls in ICT Day was established at the level of the United Nations and is celebrated every fourth Thursday in April. This ceremony, hosted by the National Assembly, was organised by the Association of Business Women of Serbia with the support of the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications.
