National Assembly Deputy Speaker Gordana Comic Talks to Estonian Foreign Minister

Today, at the National Assembly House, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Gordana Comic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Urmas Paet.

Today, at the National Assembly House, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Gordana Comic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Urmas Paet.

This has been the first diplomatic visit to the Republic of Serbia since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2001, and it was jointly deemed that it will contribute to the deepening of cooperation between Serbia and Estonia in all areas.

In the conversation, plans for future parliamentary cooperation of the two countries have been exchanged, which will be particularly beneficial for the National Assembly considering Estonia’s successful transition and the extended friendship and good will to share its experience with the European Integrations and Foreign Affairs Committees.

Both agreed in their estimate that interparliamentary cooperation will be intensified through future contacts of friendship groups. A friendship group already exists in the Estonian parliament, and, as Gordana Comic announced, a friendship group with Estonia will soon be formed in the National Assembly.

In the meeting, Serbian Parliamentarians were invited to visit the Estonian parliament.
