National Assembly Delegation to Pay Study Visit to Slovenian Parliament

A National Assembly delegation will be paying a study visit to the Slovenian Parliament, from 11 to 14 November 2013, as part of project Strengthening the Oversight Role and Transparency of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, conducted by the National Assembly in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).


The delegation comprises MPs Vesna Kovac, Zoran Babic, Milorad Mijatovic, Stefana Miladinovic, Dubravka Filipovski, Milan Lapcevic and National Assembly Service staff. The delegation also comprises Deputy Secretary General Mladen Mladenovic and Assistant Secretary General and Head of the General Affair Sector Mirjana Nedeljkovic.
In the course of the visit the National Assembly delegation is to meet with the Slovenian Parliament’s Committee on Finance and Monetary Policy, Slovenian Parliament’s internal auditor, former MP and Vice President of the Slovenian State Audit Institution, Deputy president of the Slovenian State Audit Institution, representatives of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, representatives of the Accounting Office and public finance experts.
The purpose of the visit is to exchange experience relating to the functioning of the Slovenian public spending oversight portal which is, according to the project activities, supposed to be introduced into the National Assembly. In the course of the meetings the participants will also share experiences relating to the functioning of the Committee on Finance and Monetary Policy, finance management and the work of the internal audit within the Parliament, as well as the work of the State Audit Institution, Commission for the Prevention of Corruption and the Accounting Office.
The cost of the study visit will be covered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
