National Assembly Delegation at NATO PA 91st Rose-Roth Seminar

Dragan Sormaz, Head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, will be taking part in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly 91st Rose-Roth Seminar, co-organised by the Parliament of Morocco and the Special Group for the Mediterranean and the Sub-Committee for Transatlantic Economic Relations of the NATO PA Economics and Security Committee, 20-22 April 2016 in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.


In the course of the seminar the parliamentarians will discuss the priorities of internal and foreign policy of the Kingdom of Morocco, common international strategy to combat the security challenges in the Middle East, challenges and strategies of the fight against extremism, security sector reform situation in Libya and security in Sahel, as well as facing up to migration trends and cooperation throughout the Mediterranean.

The participants of the seminar will be addressed, among others, by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Morocco Rachid Talbi Alami, Speaker of the House of Counsellors of the Parliament of Morocco Hakim Benchemas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco Saleheddine Mezouar, Minister of Internal Affairs Mohamed Hassad, Minister of Economy and Finance Mohamed Boussaid, Minister for Relations with Parliament and Civil Society Abdelaziz El Omari, as well as Minister of Moroccan Expatriates and Migration Affairs Anis Birou.

Besides the representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, the NATO PA 91st Rose-Roth Seminar will be attended by parliamentarians from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Denmark, Italy, Armenia, Jordan, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mali, Moldova, Mauritania, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, UK, Ukraine, France, the Netherlands, Croatia, Montenegro, Chad, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland, and others.
