National Assembly Delegation Visits BYD Shenzhen Development and Research Centre

The delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia currently staying in China, today visited the BYD Company development and research centre and campus in Shenzhen, where they had the opportunity to learn about the development of some of the models of electric vehicles produced by the company, see model batteries for electric cars, as well as chassis that allow the car to drive even if one of the wheels is missing.

The company also presented its solutions in the railway sphere, such as the project of the overhead autonomous rail vehicle "SkyRail".

BYD also demonstrated to Serbian parliamentarians the effect of some projects in the field of electric vehicle safety, such as slow-burning batteries.

BYD Group Vice President Jie Wang presented some of the company's vehicles to the delegation.

BYD was founded in 1995 in Shenzhen and includes four industries - automotive, railway, renewable energy and electronics.

The company is on the Fortune 500 list and owns more than 30,000 patents in the world. In 2023 it sold more than three million cars, 68% more than in 2022, while this year from January to April it already recorded a growth of 23.6%.

The Serbian parliamentary delegation started its stay in the People's Republic of China with a visit to Beijing.
