National Assembly Delegation Pays Study Visit to Hellenic Parliament
A National Assembly delegation visited the Hellenic Parliament, from 4 to 6 November 2013, as part of the Twinning project – Strengthening the Capacities of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in the EU Integration Process.
The delegation comprised National Assembly Secretary General Jana Ljubicic and members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues Katarina Rakic, Branislav Blazic and Sinisa Lazic. The delegation also comprised National Assembly Service staff members Svetlana Dedic, secretary of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, Aleksandra Saso, senior officer at the Constitutional Law System and Organisation of Power Department, and Dara Kupusinac Popovic, independent officer at the Budget Planning, Analysis and Reporting Section.
The purpose of the visit was to learn how the Hellenic Parliament operates, with a special focus on the organisation of the administrative and financial directorates of the Hellenic Parliament responsible for human resources and MP and staff training, budget and financial management, public procurement and the use of new technologies at the Hellenic Parliament.
The National Assembly delegation met with the Secretary General of the Hellenic Parliament who said he was pleased with the implementation of the Twinning project and cooperation between the two parliaments, sure that both sides would benefit from the exchange of parliamentary experience and best practice examples.
