National Assembly Chairs PABSEC
In line with the alphabetical rotating chairmanship principle the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia will be chairing the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) in the first half of 2010.PABSEC is one of four related bodies of the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation which represents an important forum for the strengthening of member countries’ parliaments tasked with stimulating and developing cooperation in the creation and strengthening of a favourable political and economic climate in the region.

As the PABSEC Chair, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic will make an official visit to the Secretariat in Istanbul on 15 March 2010 where she will meet PABSEC Secretary General Alexey Kudriavtsev and sign documents relevant for the 35th PABSEC session, to be held in Belgrade from 1 to 3 June 2010.
