National Assembly's Standing Delegation at 128th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Ecuador

The National Assembly's standing delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) will be taking part in the 128th IPU Assembly, to be held in Quito, Ecuador, from 21 to 27 March 2013.


The National Assembly's delegation will comprise MPs Marija Obradovic, Dr Vladimir Marinkovic and Nada Kolundzija, as well as the National Assembly Secretary General Jana Ljubicic.
Member of Parliament Dr Vladimir Marinkovic will be taking part in the general debate titled “From unrelenting growth to purposeful development "Buen Vivir": New approaches, new solutions”, while MP Marija Obradovic will speak at the panel discussion on "Legalization of drugs: can it help curb organized crime". National Assembly Secretary General Jana Ljubicic will take part in the work of the Association of Secretaries General of IPU Parliaments.
Among the Serbian delegation’s many bilateral meetings, Marija Obradovic, as the coordinator of the National Assembly’s Women’s Parliamentary Network, will be meeting with Dr Nurhayati Ali Assegaf, Indonesian Parliament Member and President of the Coordinating Committee of Women Parliamentarians at the IPU.
The 128th IPU Assembly will be attended by over 40 parliament speakers and more than a thousand members of parliament from 140 countries of the world.
