NATIONAL ASSEMBLY CHAIRMAN VISITS GUCA FESTIVAL

On 6 August 2005, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, attended the traditional “Across Levac and Sumadija” event and the 45th annual Dragacevo Brass Band Festival, held in Guca.


On 6 August 2005, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, attended the traditional “Across Levac and Sumadija” event and the 45th annual Dragacevo Brass Band Festival, held in Guca.

Speaking in the Kalenic Monastery churchyard, Mr Markovic said that traditional events, such as the festival of popular arts and crafts of Levac and the Brass Band Festival in Guca were examples of cherishing traditional values that were necessary not only to preserve cultural and national identity, but also to define a whole range of specific values, tourist and commercial products and events for which Serbia will be famous throughout the world.
