NARS Speaker Receives SCTM Representatives
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the representatives of the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities.

In the meeting, they considered the steps necessary for further implementation of the Cooperation Protocol signed between the NARS and SCTM on 25 June 2007, particularly the part regarding cooperation between the NARS committees and SCTM.
Paunovic proposed to Djukic-Dejanovic a broadening of the existing practice of SCTM’s participation in the work of the Local Self-Government Committee to include the active participation of SCTM representatives in the work of other relevant committees when they debate issues of interest for local self-government. It was also proposed that deputies and support service employees take an active interest into the work of SCTM’s competent committees. The officials agreed to hold a meeting in the second half of June between representatives of the National Assembly and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities in order to specify further cooperation.
