NARS Speaker Receives Belgian Ambassador to Belgrade

National Assembly Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Belgrade, H.



National Assembly Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Belgrade, H.E. Denise de Hauwere, in a farewell visit.

Djukic-Dejanovic thanked the Ambassador for her efforts on animating the cooperation between the two parliaments, and particularly for the successful realisation of the visit by the President of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Belgium, Patrick Dewael, to Serbia in November 2009. Parliamentary cooperation is expected to receive a new impulse.

At the Ambassador’s inquiry, the NARS Speaker informed her about the main tasks awaiting the National Assembly in the fulfillment of its obligations as regards a number of laws of extreme importance for Serbia’s further steps towards EU membership.
