NARS Speaker Comments on Frequent Attacks on Deputies
I was informed today that on Wednesday, 10 February, Nenad Prokic, deputy of the Liberal Democratic Party was exposed to a verbal attack and unpleasantness in the centre of Belgrade by an unidentified passer-by.

The frequency of violent behaviour (both physical and verbal) towards legitimately elected representatives of the citizens increases the feeling of insecurity in our citizens and points to an increased encroachment on basic human rights and freedoms.
The authorities in charge, as well as each individual, should and must do all in their power to make sure such situation do not reoccur, so that every Serbian citizen can feel safe and protected. It is our duty to contribute to eliminate violence, in line with our competencies, and sanction delinquents who compromise the dignity and life of any citizen.
