Members of Parliamentary Friendship Group with US Talk to German Marshall Fund Fellowship Recipients

The Head and members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the US met today, at the National Assembly House, with a group of recipients of the German Marshall Fund Fellowship.


The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the US, Doc. Dr Zoran Radovanovic, briefed the guests on the Friendship Group’s activities, saying that it is one of the largest friendship groups at the National Assembly. Radovanovic emphasised the importance of exchanging experiences with the US especially in the context of boosting the two countries’ bilateral relations.
The conversation also touched on Serbia’s brain drain and possible measures to address the problem, the impact of the global economic crisis and the position and solution to the status of refugees in Serbia. They also discussed the participation of women in government.
The German Marshall Fund of the US is a programme aimed at promoting better understanding and cooperation between North America and Europe by establishing connections between young leaders and professionals on both sides of the Atlantic.
