Greeting the guests, the Head of the Group, Ljubica Mrdakovic Todorovic, said that the 11-member Parliamentary Friendship Group with Poland presents an excellent opportunity to continue the traditionally good and friendly relations between the two nations in future.
Ambassador Jasionowski commended the establishment of the Group, saying that the Polish Parliament too has a Serbia-Poland Friendship Group. The parliament, as the pillar of democracy represents an important tie between the people of Serbia and Poland and also plays an important role in the improvement of overall bilateral relations between the two countries, added Jasionowski.
The officials agreed that the priorities of future meetings between the two friendship groups should be Serbia’s European integration where the Polish Parliament would offer the National Assembly expert support, as well as the potentials for boosting agricultural, cultural, educational, healthcare and interregional cooperation.
The Head of the Friendship Group suggested that the cooperation between Serbia and Poland in the sphere of health might be intensified in the fields of healthcare and insurance, international exchange of experts, as well as via more frequent contacts between the Serbian and Polish ministries of health and medicine agencies.
The meeting was also attended by Friendship Group members Balint Pasztor, Olena Papuga, Velimir Stanojevic and Milan Kovacevic.
