Members of Parliamentary Friendship Group with Azerbaijan Talk to Azerbaijani Ambassador
The members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Azerbaijan met today at the National Assembly House with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Eldar Hasanov.
Greeting the Ambassador, the Head of the PFG with Azerbaijan Katarina Rakic pointed out that the Parliamentary Group has 43 members. Rakic thanked the Ambassador because his country was the first to assist Serbia in the floods. Discussing how to boost cooperation between the two countries, the PFG Head stressed that the Government of the Republic of Serbia urges for amendments to the set of laws which would create a more favourable economic climate and investment conditions in Serbia.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador deemed the relations between Serbia and Azerbaijan friendly. He stressed that Azerbaijan is interested in furthering overall cooperation with Serbia, especially in the spheres of agriculture, education and sport, and adding that Azerbaijani private entrepreneurs were interested in taking part in the privatisations in Serbia. He also suggested two humanitarian relief actions for the refugees in Serbia and people endangered by the floods. The PFG Head and members commended and accepted the Ambassador’s suggestion.
PFG members Enis Imamovic, Zarko Micin, Biljana Pantic Pilja, Jelena Mijatovic, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic, Velinka Tosic, Nada Lazic, Aleksandar Radojevic, Marija Stevanovic, Dr Blagoje Bradic, Milanka Karic and Dragomir Karic also took part in the meeting.
