The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Greece, Miroljub Stojcic, stressed that this parliamentary friendship group is one of the largest at the National Assembly, which is proof of the MPs’ interest in strengthening this type of cooperation between Serbia and Greece. The Serbian and Greek people are connected by traditional friendly ties and cooperation in many areas which can be further intensified through the activities of the parliamentary friendship groups, said Stojcic.
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia, Efthymios Karanasios, said that he expected the parliamentary friendship groups to initiate joint projects and raise the level of the two countries’ cooperation via joint activities.
Taking part in the conversation, almost all the members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Greece shared several specific proposals and ides for future cooperation, stressing that the priorities of said cooperation should be defined and pursued as soon as possible. They emphasised the need for more frequent meetings between the parliamentary friendship groups, so that they may soon define the projects they could pursue on together.
