Meeting of Women’s Parliamentary Network Coordinators

The coordinators of the Women’s Parliamentary Network met today, 19 November, at the National Assembly House, to discuss the realisation and implementation of the conclusions of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd National Conference of the Women’s Parliamentary Network.


They also defined the WPN’s 2016 activity plan. On the occasion, they agreed with the representatives of the OSCE Mission to Serbia to distribute pamphlets on gender-responsive budgeting to the MPs before the discussion on the 2016 budget.

The WPN coordinators agreed with the OSCE Mission’s proposal to present the results of the GLOBAL Media Monitoring Project on the status of women in the media in December, and MP Marija Obradovic’s initiative to meet with the editors of the leading media houses at the National Assembly House, on 15 December, at 1 pm, was unanimously endorsed.

The coordinators also decided to intensify the cooperation with Brankica Jankovic, Commissioner for Protection of Equality, in the coming period.

On the behalf of the OSCE Mission to Serbia the meeting was attended by Natasa Sakota and Ana Solovic.

Besides the chair of the Women’s Parliamentary Network Vera Paunovic, the meeting was also attended by coordinators Marija Obradovic, Stefana Miladinovic, Dubravka Filipovski, Gordana Comic, Elvira Kovacs, Sabina Dazdarevic and Olena Papuga.
